Summary of Multiple DUI / DWI Penalties

Second Offense within Ten years may result in a suspended license for two years, three to five years probation, mandatory DUI School or alcohol classes for 18 months, time behind bars between ten days and one year, and assorted fines, and a significant increase in your automobile insurance rates.

Third Offense within Ten Years may result in a suspended license for four years, three to five years probation, mandatory DUI School or alcohol class for 18 months, time in jail from four months to one year, assorted fines, and a significant increase in your automobile insurance rates.

Fourth Offense within 10 years (Subject to Felony Charges) may result in a suspended license for four years, three to five years probation (or state prison), mandatory DUI School or alcohol classes for 18 months, time behind bars between 6 months to one year, or state prison, assorted fines, and a significant increase in your automobile insurance rates

Penalties could increase if a driver refuses to submit to a chemical test, has a BAC over .15, is speeding over thirty miles per hour over the posted freeway speed limit, has a passenger under the age 14, and any other prior DUI convictions or probation violations.
